Wool is sold under the Mirridong brand, a legacy dating back to when Todd’s grandfather acquired the family farm in 1954. Merino wool has been the backbone of our business from that time, growing bright white superfine fleeces of the style our region has been renowned for.

Our sheep have changed somewhat over time, and are now a plainer bodied merino, with a more modern style of fleece, with more lustre and crimp definition compared to our traditional fleeces.

The Legacy & Quality of

We have moved from an annual shearing to three shearings every two years. Modern spinners have a preference for better performing wools, and shearing more often keeps our staple length at 75-85mm, and maximises staple strength to allow better milling efficiency.

We are committed to ethical practices and have been a non-mulesing property since 2019. Our farm is RWS and Authentico certified, reflecting our dedication to welfare, environmental stewardship, and ethical standards.
